The Payroll Associate will be part of our Payroll team responsible for ensuring the successful processing of all Payroll related functions. In this role, you will be involved in all facets of Payroll for a global organization and will have the potential to grow and develop professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Payroll Leader in establishing best-in-class payroll processes and operating model that will scale with Dun & Bradstreet’s continuing growth to reduce manual processes, simplify procedures and drive accurate results
  • Review semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees for accuracy
  • Ensure special pays such as one-off bonuses, commission payments, etc are processed accurately; Also ensure time card transactions are processed accurately
  • Review and process payments for leave of absence employees
  • Assist with managing multi-jurisdictional taxation, including remote employee taxation, filing of quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns for federal, state and local taxes, as required
  • Acts as a liaison between the company and 3rd party vendor to ensure accurate and timely tax filing and reporting, pending tax notices and accurately communicates any issues to the team
  • Ensures payroll processes are administered in compliance with SOX requirements, internal company policies as well as applicable country, federal and state regulations, or legislation, including applicable wage and hour regulations
  • Works directly with accounting department to ensure the banking reconciliation process and accurate journal entries are completed timely
  • Conduct monthly closing operations, prepare bank reconciliations and financial reports as requested
  • Set up registration in new states for payroll taxes
  • Partner with other functional areas such as Finance, HR, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of progressive payroll experience for multi-state payroll and knowledgeable of wage and hour laws
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in payroll and accounting, Workday and Ceridian Dayforce or similar Payroll products, processes, procedures, and systems
  • High capacity, self-directed, motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and be a strong team player; this includes showing a drive for results, inquisitiveness, and adaptability
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Data inspired with the ability to analyze data, identify trends and make recommendations
  • Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
