Payroll specialist

Description

We are seeking a payroll specialist to assist with the processing and administration of its multi-state payroll using ADP Vantage for 2000+ employees.

Responsibilities include:
  • Audit timesheet data weekly to determine compliance with Federal, State laws and company policy.
  • Independently perform all necessary activities to complete the bi-weekly payroll for 1900+ employees in over 40+ states in the USA, including new hires, terminations, transfers, and all employee changes.
  • Process adjustment payments, Ex. Retro pay and bonuses.
  • Review all benefit changes, and set up all wage garnishments.
  • Prepare management reports and audits.
  • Run & create custom reports using ADP Reporting
  • Contact ADP to resolve any payroll issues.
  • Promptly resolve and respond to employee payroll concerns.
  • Transmit benefits after payroll to our providers
  • Handle any special projects as needed

Candidate Specification

  • College Degree - Preferred but not required
  • 10+ years of experience with ADP systems required
  • Accustomed to working in a paperless environment
  • Excellent customer service skills required
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications, especially excel.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Good listening and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work independently and within a team with minimal to no supervision.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient knowledge of payroll tax and labor laws, garnishment requirements, payroll recordkeeping, and reporting regulations.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and FLSA regulations.
  • Understanding of Payroll and reporting systems.
