The role:
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for SoftwareOne employees in India, UAE, and Sri Lanka, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to gather and maintain accurate employee data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other relevant information.
  • Calculate and process monthly payroll, including salaries, benefits, allowances, and deductions, while ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Manage payroll-related queries and provide support to employees regarding payroll-related matters, such as tax deductions, leave encashment, and reimbursement claims.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders, including HR, Finance, and management, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Stay updated with changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and other payroll-related legislation in India, UAE, and Sri Lanka, and ensure compliance with the latest requirements.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, such as payroll service providers and tax authorities, to ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory filings, such as tax returns and social security contributions.
  • Perform periodic payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Continuously review and improve payroll processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure proper documentation and filing for audit and compliance purposes.
What we need to see from you:
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in payroll management, preferably in a multinational organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements in India, UAE, and Sri Lanka.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations, social security contributions, and labor laws in the respective countries.
  • Experience working with payroll software and systems, and the ability to adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently.
