Payroll Specialist (Job Number: 2313359 )
Position Summary:
A Penske Payroll Specialist will assist the Organization’s payroll practices. They are responsible for knowledge of all systems within their position. Position will provide critical analytical and functional support for various processes within Payroll, as well as provide additional support to other functional areas where necessary.
Major Responsibilities:
- Process and verify all weekly and bi-weekly payrolls
- Tax corrections and adjustments as needed to ensure proper tax filing per associates
- Analyze, develop, and provide automated solutions impacting payroll
- Authority to analyze/recommend changes to policy, practices, or business objectives
- Develop automated solutions for analysis and processing
- Develop and maintain measures key to payroll
- Identify, Develop, and Maintain process improvements to increase efficiencies
- Facilitate automated solutions via multiple applications related to payroll processes
- Other projects or tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years financial analytics or payroll experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting preferred but not required
- Excellent data management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in fast pace environment
- Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel and Access required
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint required
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
