POSITION SUMMARY
NewDay USA is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to be assisting processing payroll information, reviewing and performing payroll audits, and serving as a initial point of contact for questions about pay policies and procedures. This position will be reporting to the HR department and will be assisting and direction of the Senior Compensation Analyst in processing payroll and compensation.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.
- Processes regular payroll information on a semi monthly basis, as well as bonuses and off-cycle checks when necessary
- Responsible to time and attendance and daily/weekly audits
- Performs weekly/semi monthly overtime audits
- Performs full compensation audits on a periodic basis.
- Keeps abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage/tax laws, and applies changes as appropriate
- Prepares follow-up for Stop Payment requests, manual check requests, and associated system updates
- Responds to questions regarding pay policies/procedures
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with customers, both internal and external
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience is required.
- APA or any related certifications preferred.
- Strong MS Office with advanced Excel skills preferred,
- Strong technical skills to work with Paycom or similar HRIS system.
- Authentic, genuine and credible, able to forge strong relationships based on honesty and trust
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and drive for results
- Exercises discretion and is able to maintain complete confidentiality of information
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
