PRIMARY PURPOSE To support timekeeping configuration and reconciliation function for district wide payroll reporting and other general payroll duties.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Maintain, update, and troubleshoot the timekeeping system. • Create timekeeping system configuration to ensure FLSA, DOL, and LISD polices are followed. • Responsible for the verification, editing, and collection process of all data generated by theDistrict time and attendance systems for all LISD employees prior to inclusion of that data in the District’s payroll system. • Assist with District reconciliation of leave hours collected between timekeeping software and the absence reporting system interface program to ensure payroll accuracy. • Serve as the primary contact for the District for day‐to‐day functionality of the timekeeping software systems to include system access, training, and other technical assistance. • Perform audits of campus/department time sheets to ensure their accuracy and that LISD policies are being followed. • Work with Payroll Coordinator to develop training materials and provide training for managers, approvers, and employees on timekeeping reconciliation/approvalprocess. • Develop unique timekeeping system reports for the accurate and timely analysis of employee time and attendance data for better utilization of the timekeeping system. • Notify all timekeeping managers of deadlines and systemerrors. • Assist with timekeeping problem resolution/payroll processing cycle to ensure accuracy and completeness of each payroll. • Assist with forecast and management of timekeeping operating budget. • Assist with written salary information on employment verification forms/provide verbal salary verifications from lending institutions, state agencies, and other organizations. • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and district policies, work in conjunction with other departments and all campuses. • Maintain high degree of confidentiality in all payroll matters. • Serve as backup to other Payroll staff as needed. • Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance. • Perform other duties as assigned.
