About Pay-i

We are a seed-stage startup building the financial backbone for the Generative AI revolution. Our patent-pending FinOps platform helps companies tackle the complex financial challenges of leveraging GenAI in their products. Founded by Microsoft alumni with 15+ years of experience each, we're backed by five venture capital firms and executive angels from industry leaders including Microsoft, Twilio, and Zoom. As we approach our initial launch with early design partners, we're seeking a key technical leader to drive our front-end engineering efforts.

The Opportunity

As our Staff Front End Engineer, you'll lead the front-end design and implementation across all Pay-i's platforms. You'll shape our user experience while setting the foundation for our engineering excellence. This role offers a unique combination of technical leadership and hands-on development.

Your impact will span across our entire frontend ecosystem, including:

  • Architecting and delivering multiple company websites

  • Implementing enterprise-grade features and experiences

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in frontend engineering

  • Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and Chrome Developer Tools

  • Experience with React, Bootstrap, TypeScript, and RESTful services

  • Proven track record building interfaces for mobile form factors

  • Experience with analytics instrumentation and A/B testing

  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced "bring up/tear down" environments

  • Self-directed with strong technical opinions

  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of frontend engineering experience

  • Full stack engineering capabilities

  • Experience with Figma, animation software (Lottie/Rive/Framer)

  • Familiarity with Azure, ADO, DNS, HubSpot, CRM, and SEO

  • Track record of building and leading engineering teams
