Civil CAD Technician

In particular, we are looking for a CAD Technician to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Warrington, PA. This person will be expected to contribute primarily to our Site/Civil projects by performing critical drafting functions.Primary Responsibilities• Perform CAD Drafting while utilizing survey field data.• Prepare Site/Civil drawings including grading, utility, and E&S plans.• Prepare various forms of site/civil details & exhibits.• Provide office support; this includes performing area, slope, and volume computations.• Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are achieved.• Perform field work on an as-needed basis; this includes observing construction and assisting Surveyors.• Assist the Traffic department and Environmental team, when necessary.• Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.Basic Requirements• High School Diploma (or equivalent).• 5+ years of professional experience working in Civil Design and/or Civil Drafting.This person may be expected to work in the field, as-needed, so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver’s License.Preferred Qualifications• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Design Technology, or a related technical field of study is a plus!• Proficiency with engineering / CADD tools; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus!• Proficiency on standard Microsoft Office software applications.• Proven ability to perform and engage in physically-demanding work, especially manual labor in a field-based capacity.• Proven ability to utilize technical mathematics.• Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.• Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); proven active-listening skills is a plus!Pennoni is an ENR Top 500 consulting engineering firm.
