Context


Pennylane is opening a Senior Financial Security Officer (Anti-fraud, KYC) position to join the Security / IT team and and expand further its large scope (Application Security, IT, Security Compliance and Incident Management).


Reporting directly to Guillaume, our Head of Information and Security, you will be responsible for establishing and managing our daily financial security operations from scratch. In this key new position, you'll build our financial security framework in a context of strong growth and significant security commitments (ISO 27001 and DORA).


Missions


Financial Security program owner: develop, improve, and implement an effective financial security program:

- based on risks evaluations (fraud, financial crime) against recognised frameworks and norms, in an ISO 27001 and DORA context

- offering risk score calculation based on users’ context and behaviour in the product, to manage efficiently a reduction of impact and probability of fraud

- deploying strong monitoring and alerting capacities internally and towards users to prevent fraudulent activities and ease any incident management

- in close collaboration with Financial Services operations, Legal and Internal Control teams

Operational anti-fraud management: oversee and advise on the implementation of financial security policies, controls and regular internal audits, to effectively manage the fraud and financial crime, both for daily operations of Financial Services team and security compliance against ISO 27001

Fraud-related incidents management: support the management of fraud-related incidents, including analyzing fraudulent activities in all domains related to financial security

Partners and customers collaboration: collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners/clients to address financial crime concerns and maintain KYC best practices, balancing efficiency with business continuity

Employees training: responsible for ensuring that adequate arrangements are in place for efficient anti-fraud training of employees.

Monitor relevant regulations, industry guidance, and financial services innovations, with a focus on financial crime risks.


Who're we looking for ?


- 8+ years of experience, including at least 4 years in financial security, either in the financial sector (banking, fintech) or industries with significant payment operations (e-commerce, travel, entertainment, etc.)

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, exercising strong autonomy and decision-making capabilities, with a solid product and technical mindset

- Experience in conducting financial security risk assessments, designing and implementing control measures, preferably in compliance with external security frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and state regulations

- Deep understanding of current financial crime trends and industry best practices

- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities

- Fluent in English, with professional French as a bonus
