Position Summary:
We are recruiting candidates to join our growing firm as a Senior Analyst on our Policy Brand Research team. As a Senior Analyst, you will use our proprietary quantitative and qualitative research to create reports, presentations, memos, and ad hoc communications materials for clients. Supporting anywhere from 8-13 “brand name” clients at a time, your work will empower them by providing insights and analysis, custom follow-up work, and implementation strategies. You will also be responsible for managing client projects from inception to final presentation, executing follow-up outreach, and supporting our directors and partners in tracking client developments to inform our engagement strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Senior Analysts will have primary responsibility for the following areas of our engagements:
- Quantitative Benchmarking: Analyze a rich data set of peer and industry benchmarking data, including longitudinal and demographic breakdowns, to surface key trends, insights, and actionable recommendations to inform a client’s advocacy strategy.
- Qualitative Analysis: Breakdown qualitative data from interviews, media, and other sources to pull out common narratives to explain quantitative trends, understand policy, and assess relative client strengths and opportunities.
- Strategic Consulting: Conduct the analysis, development, and communication (written and in-person presentations) of research-based consulting engagements meant to inform the investments and strategy of major organizations operating in the federal and state policy arenas.
- System-Wide Contribution: Play a supportive role across formalized and ad-hoc teams to enhance an internal culture of support, feedback, and creating new opportunities.
- Innovation: Consistently contribute new ideas, ways to serve client needs, process improvements, and program-wide initiatives that advance the entire program’s success; seeking out and taking ownership wherever possible.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in a client services oriented research role.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting both qualitative, and quantitative, data.Past experience distilling insights and recommendations from industry data.
- Proficiency using Powerpoint to create compelling client deliverables.
- Experience utilizing Excel, or Google Sheets, to analyze data and extract insights.
- Past exposure to polling, focus groups, surveys, and other data collection methodologies.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrable interest in Public Relations, Public Policy, or Government RelationsIntellectually curious, with a desire to be exposed to a variety of research projects and scopes.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong ownership mentality.
- A background in professional services, or government relations is preferred.
Location and Hybrid Schedule:
For this position, we are only considering applicants in the Washington, D.C., area and looking to fill the role as soon as possible. This person will be expected to join our team in our Washington, D.C., office and work a hybrid schedule of three days in the office, and two days remote per week.
Salary Range:
The base salary range for this position will be $77,000 - $87,000 depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications as it relates to the position.
