Quality Control Supervisor- First Shift

OverviewThis position contributes to the success of PepsiCo by ensuring the overall quality of ingredients and finished products in accordance with company's standards. Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit on shift. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Quality Technicians. This individual must set quality assurance standards and align the organization to achieve these standards.The role is 1st shift Monday -Friday, weekends as needed overseeing 6 QC Technicians. Hours: 5:30am-2:30pm (weekends as needed)Responsibilities• Provides technical and process knowledge for water treatment/wastewater, product batching, product testing, package testing and supplier capability• Demonstrates a working knowledge of production equipment (processing and packaging equipment) and its related impact on overall quality• Oversees team execution of key food safety pre-requisite programs such as: GMP compliance, sanitation, documentation and recordkeeping, regulatory audits, etc.• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of process improvements and technical developments• Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for both management and front-line hourly personnel• Develops the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals• Delivers effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact• Effectively communicates and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues• Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to create and deliver reports ensuring clear and open communication across all levels of the organization• Motivates team members to achieve planned goals• Ensures compliance with all health & safety regulations including food safety and Quality standards• Participates in regulatory audits/inspections (i. e. AIB, FDA, ISO F2200 Standard, GHEMS)• Administer employee policies and procedures• Regular and predictable attendance at the work site• This role requires regular presence on the plant floor• This role requires lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionally• This role may operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionally• This is a first shift role and may require some weekend workCompensation & Benefits:• The expected compensation range for this position is between $55,400 - $92,650• Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary• Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually• Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement• In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health, and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement PlanQualifications• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
