Vice President Growth - Cyber Mission

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Vice President of Growth who will lead business development and capture efforts for our Cyber Mission Sector, which includes the shaping of a strategy to expand our footprint with the NSA, US CYBERCOM, DHS, CISA, the cyber components of the military services and adjacent customers supporting cyber, information warfare and signals intelligence missions. This position will be based either in Reston, Virginia or Annapolis Junction, MD with an expectation that the successful candidate will spend significant time in both locations; requires significant travel to other customer locations such as Augusta, GA, Tampa, FL, San Antonio, TX as well as international/OCONUS locations.  

 

The successful candidate is responsible for leading a team of business development, solution architect and capture professionals in the identification, development, qualification, prioritization and capture of new opportunities as well as supporting on-going business re-competes.  This person will act as a ‘player-coach’ who will not only lead and develop a team of Growth professionals but also meet customers and partners and actively participate in key captures and proposals.  The successful candidate will have proven experience leading BD and capture teams as well as experience in the identification and qualification of large opportunities, excellent industry/customer knowledge, a demonstrated track record of success leading large capture and growth initiatives, and proven success in winning large and complex solutions opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Sector executives to support growth of the overall pipeline and provide support to the capture activities for large priority pursuits.
  • Support organic growth of the business through engagement with program managers and government customers.
  • Develop and executive call plans to promote Peraton capabilities and identify opportunities to generate on-contract growth and position for successful re-competes of existing Cyber Mission programs.
  • Lead high priority, large business pursuits from assessment through proposal.  Provide hands-on BD management for all aspects of the pursuit, capture and proposal execution.
  • Develop deep customer understanding, in-depth competitor knowledge, and increased market awareness.  Apply this intelligence to identify, develop, qualify, and ultimately win new business through competitive advantage.
  • Identify and execute actions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Sector Growth team, transforming Growth operations from episodic heroic efforts to consistent high performance.
  • Lead the development of strategies and tactical actions that result in a robust pipeline of qualified and actionable opportunities.
  • Lead business development activities associated with identification, qualification, capture, and bid activities including defining win strategies, creating teaming plans, and identifying competitive discriminators.
  • Envision the interfaces, interdependencies, and activities between multiple programs and captures at the line of business and/or capability portfolio level.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 20 years of experience, with at least 10 years in the private sector supporting government customers.
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • A strong understanding of Cyber, SIGINT and Information Warfare mission and operations with relevant industry and government relationships.
  • Experience developing corporate wide growth strategies and strategic plans to grow with the cyber, signals intelligence and information warfare markets.
  • Proven experience in business development and capture management, supporting the development of opportunity pipelines and leading captures of $100M+.
  • A demonstrated track record of winning new business.
  • Compelling communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to inspire confidence and provide business development leadership.
  • Strong leadership characteristics including developing and communicating a strategic vision and motivating and influencing others to achieve that vision.
  • High levels of professional curiosity and an innate desire to learn about customers, their environment, and their challenges.
  • A bias for action and an orientation toward solving rather than identifying problem areas.

Target Salary Range

$229,000 - $366,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
