Talent Associate

Founded in 2018, Persona is a 250-person tech startup based in San Francisco. We’re fortunate to be backed by some of Silicon Valley’s leading venture capital firms. Persona offers flexible building blocks that help businesses fight fraud, stay compliant, and build trust among their customers. For example, Coursera uses Persona to ensure the right person is earning each degree, DoorDash verifies couriers and anyone ordering alcohol, and Lime checks the ages of customers before they ride electric scooters or bikes. About the role

This is not your typical recruiting role. We’re searching for a generalist who can help us scale our most valuable asset: our people. You should be curious about how companies get built, and hungry to learn as quickly as possible! As part of a fast-growing startup, you’ll immediately impact our team. Your day-to-day will vary from optimizing our talent systems and cross-functional processes, partnering with hiring managers to build an exceptional candidate experience, and investigating ways that we can systematically source talent for hard-to-fill roles.


This is a full-time position based in our HQ in downtown San Francisco - currently in the office Tuesday-Thursday with Monday and Friday as office optional. What you'll do at Persona
  • Interview support - Build trusted relationships with hiring teams by managing interview schedules and providing support for both virtual and in-person interviews.
  • Uncover top talent - Systematically research, discover and engage potential candidates through various channels and build a pipeline of top talent.
  • Build systems that scale - Help develop and refine our recruitment systems, documentation, automations, and processes to support Persona’s growth.
  • Recruiting programs - Help us out with university programs, diversity initiatives, and other recruiting events to attract a diverse range of future Personerds.
  • Enhance our brand - Contribute to brand-building efforts to make Persona an employer of choice through events and content marketing support.


What you'll bring to Persona
  • 1+ years of recruiting experience - You’re familiar with recruiting tools and strategies, and can quickly ramp up sourcing for hard-to-fill positions.
  • You build for scale - You enjoy learning the ins-and-outs of tools and improving systems to make things run smoothly and efficiently.
  • You’re a person of your word - You take pride in your work and know how to see something through to completion.
  • You love people - You’re naturally engaging, approachable, and enjoy helping people. You know how to build strong connections.
  • Collaboration is second nature - You thrive in a team environment; people often tell you they love working with you.
  • You’re adaptable - You can juggle many things at once, and easily adjust to new challenges and environments.


$60,000 - $80,000 a year
Compensation
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $60,000 - $80,000. Base salaries are just one component of the total compensation package and are determined by a number of factors such as years of experience, expertise, qualifications and more. In addition to base salary, we offer ownership in Persona in the form of options that play a big part in recognizing you for the huge impact you will have on helping us achieve our mission.
