The Field Medical Advisor is a field-based medical affairs colleague responsible for providing scientific and medical expertise for the designated therapeutic area focusing on the therapeutic area’s in-line and late-stage portfolio to maximize the value of Pfizer products to patients and health care professionals through various medical activities and programs.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The communication may include proactive medical communication to provide approved medical contents to stakeholders or reactive medical communications, such as direct unsolicited medical requests from HCPs or any external stakeholders. The medical communication may also include disease-states, clinical and real word data/evidence (RWD/RWE), and pharmaco-economic /HCEI data.
Organize medical meetings and activities with KOLs to deliver cutting edge medical information of defined therapeutic area and assigned products
Conduct medical educational meetings to introduce new concepts to help HCPs to improve patients’ outcome and advance their research capability
Keeps abreast of medical and scientific developments in the designated therapeutic area by continuously reviewing literature in the field
Serves as a conduit and resource for external stakeholders’ insights pertaining to disease areas and Pfizer assets
Key Stakeholder mapping and engagement plan
Establishes scientific relationships with medical associations of the defined therapeutic area
Develops a KOL database and conduct regular medical to medical communication
Supports the speaker development initiatives
Implement avenues to gain medical insights such as advisory Boards
Provide timely feedback of customer insight to HO based medical colleagues
Provide insight into unmet medical needs, including gaps in current therapies, the value proposition of Pfizer products, medical differentiation
Contribute to the medical planning for brand/asset team projects and activities, and work with medical leadership to develop and implement the medical strategies through the insights gained in the field
Implement medical programs and activities in compliance to the relevant SOPs, local guidelines and country laws/regulations
Communicates medical information in compliance with relevant SOPs, local guidelines and country laws and regulations
Ensure timely SOP learning and compliance to P2L requirement
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred in medicine, or any other relevant healthcare background (e.g. medicine, pharmacist) with solid knowledge of the industry.
