Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a dependable Pharmacy Technician to join our innovative pharmacy practice who is passionate about improving patient health. The Pharmacy Technician has a key role in the operations of the pharmacy, and helps to ensure that all patients/customers are assisted with their health care needs. Under the guidance and supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for all aspects of preparing, processing and dispensing prescriptions. This includes but is not limited to; preparing the prescription, entry of information, setting up medication for review, and providing service to customers at the point-of-sale. They are also responsible for the operational organization of the pharmacy including ordering, stocking, and monitoring inventory, and general administrative needs of the team onsite. The Pharmacy Technician must exude excellent customer service and attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience in a professional or retail setting required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • Detailed data entry experience required.
  • Experience with prescription or other customer record management related software preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and develop relationships both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to pro-actively identify problems, as well as recommend and/or implement effective solutions.
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, including the ability to perform mathematical computations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work varying schedules between the hours of 8am to 7pm. Schedule may include Saturdays.
  • Position requires long periods of standing and significant walking.
  • All applicants are required to submit to a screen for the illegal use of drugs.

Hourly salary range: 20.00-25.00
