The Texas Department of Transportation is hiring a photographer/video producer to join their Media Production branch. In this fast paced work environment, this role collaborates with a talented team and also works individually on various projects. An estimated 30% of the job is overnight or out of town work. Projects will be varied from portraits in the studio with executives to on location in the field with crews around the state. This role helps tell the story of the agency, it's 12,000+ employees, and their clients to an internal and external audience through photo and video projects.

Producer creates short and long-form video at broadcast standard, and develops digital media content to include images, animations, and audio production, for internal and external audiences. Producer coordinates locations, talent, venues, and travel. Coordinates with clients, performs research, creates storyboards and scripts, records video and directs talent, and edits video including audio and graphic elements.

Education: Photography, Video Production or Communications or related disciplines. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 5 years writing, editing, journalism or communications related activities. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
