JOB TITLE:         Stock Analyst

LOCATION:      Aylesford, Kent

WORKING HOURS: 8am - 4pm

A bit about the role.....

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to manage high-priority reporting that distributes critical business information across multiple systems. This role involves identifying financial and commercial risks while leveraging data and analytics to drive strategic business outcomes and improvements. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring informed decision-making and fostering continuous growth across the organisation.

Some of the key responsibilities

  • Understand and be responsible for costing sheets.
  • Working with all areas of the business to cleanse, audit unify and harmonise system data.
  • Running regular and ad-hoc reports using our CRM, MRP systems and associated reporting tool kits – gathering data from multiple sources to generate the reports.
  • Using data to generate reports and analytics to drive business outcomes and improvements.
  • Alongside the other members of the Product Database team ensuring best practices in data management are adhered to and highlighting any areas of concern with the integrity of the data.
  • Ad-hoc projects as directed by the Reporting & Analysis Manager.
  • Highlighting any areas of concern with the integrity of the data and corrective action.
  • Working with the Commercial Analyst to update and maintain the Price Lists in the CRM system as well as merging data with the MRP system to provide the Reps with the relevant information to maximise GP.
  • Generate & Assess Standard Costs across internal costing sheets and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Oversee & report cost sheet changes and see the consequential action through the business.
  • Product & Customer profitability analysis.
  • GAP Analysis.
  • US Operations Reporting – Aligning reporting across the various global divisions.
  • Workshop and internal routing cost and time monitoring.
  • Proficient in Excel (Intermediate/Advanced User).
  • Awareness of the impact on and inter-dependencies with other departments.
  • Experience in business, financial or performance reporting and cost analysis.
  • Trouble-shooting incorrect data entry to ensure reports are as accurate as possible.
  • Excellent at interpreting numerical data and presenting it in user-friendly ways. Excellent Analytical and visualisation skills.
  • Practical and commercially minded.
  • Confidence to challenge where necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
