Senior Product Manager, Curation

About Pinterest:

Millions of people around the world come to our platform to find creative ideas, dream about new possibilities and plan for memories that will last a lifetime. At Pinterest, we’re on a mission to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love, and that starts with the people behind the product.

Discover a career where you ignite innovation for millions, transform passion into growth opportunities, celebrate each other’s unique experiences and embrace the flexibility to do your best work. Creating a career you love? It’s Possible.

We are a leaned-in platform where users come with active intent, not a place to watch funny dance videos or doom scroll through news. As a platform, we are uniquely positioned at the intersection of search, social and commerce. Our unique combination of personalized discovery & actionable curation enables users to bring their inspiration to life.

In this role, you’ll drive revisitation - empowering users to make progress in their inspiration → action journeys by resurfacing their boards and saves, helping them pick up where they left off & building on previously saved ideas to inspire new opportunities. You’ll partner with teams across the company, and think strategically about opportunities to drive visitation, engagement, retention & revenue across surfaces.

This is a critical pillar of our Curation strategy, and an opportunity to drive meaningful top-line impact for Pinners and Pinterest.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute a cohesive revisitation strategy, roadmap & goals in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Design and other cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Build innovative new experiences, unique to Pinterest, that help users make progress on their saved pins & boards
  • Deeply collaborate with engineering, design & data science to build great experiences at the intersection of UX, ML & AI
  • Define thoughtful hypotheses, product requirements, decision-making frameworks, metrics & goals for strategic projects
  • Autonomously tackle complex, ambiguous problems & develop strategic influence across products

What we’re looking for:

  • Trusted collaborator: You’ll partner closely with a variety of teams across the company, including Growth, Trust & Safety, Monetization and more. You’ll need to build deep and trusted relationships with these teams and work together in service of key shared strategic priorities.
  • Strategic thinker: You’ll need to understand the landscape in which we’re operating and make frequent tradeoffs and decisions around where to invest time and resources.
  • Skilled communicator: You’ll communicate your strategy and plans to XFN partners, stakeholders & VP-level audiences, and need the ability to communicate clearly and convincingly with a wide range of audiences (both written and verbal).
  • Technical strength: You’ll partner closely with Engineering teams working with a wide variety of technologies, including Machine Learning and AI
  • Customer centricity: You’ll work with both external and internal customers, and must deeply understand their needs and requirements.
  • Data fluency: You’ll need to leverage diverse quantitative & qualitative insights to make thoughtful, data-informed decisions
  • A driver of results: Ultimately, you’ll need to produce significant, measurable results against key Curation goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Visit our PinFlex page to learn more about our working model.

We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection. This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times/quarter and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
