Responsibilities:
To proactively monitor and/or control pipelines, plants, compressors, pressures, flows, tank levels, and alarms, recognizing and resolving issues by taking necessary action to handle both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Coordinate with Operations, Commercial Services, Commercial Marketing and Engineering regarding information on the pipeline system(s)

Maintain the integrity of the pipeline through remote control valve changes, instructing field personnel to make manual valve changes and starting and stopping compression or pumps as necessary

Monitor Alarms and system telemetry status

Build relationships both internally and externally by providing seamless communication

Accurately record and relay information as necessary. Communication can be verbal and/or written

Monitor Microsoft Excel system balance sheets

Ensure that nominations are met and pipeline imbalances are minimized.

Prepare and monitor daily and monthly reports

Comply with all state and federal regulations

Keep co-workers and gas control management aware of pipeline issues and activities
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, required
-
3+ years of industry experience – preferably in gas control or field operations

Ability to communicate effectively with strong verbal & written communication skills

Ability to work a rotating 12-hour day/night shift; (including weekends and holidays)

Must work well in a team environment

Must have computer skills

Valid driver’s license

Must pass pre-employment background, which includes driving record, drug screen and is subject to random drug testing

Must live within a reasonable distance of work location

Must be able to visually monitor several computer screens in a control room environment for twelve (12) hour shifts. Must maintain a high level of mental alertness and be capable of quickly processing and reacting to incoming information from the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System. Response time is very critical
