Job Summary:
Plan and schedule long range and short range manufacturing processes for inverters and UPS's.
Responsibilities:
Analyze capacity requirements planning reports and recommend corrective action to remedy overload and under load capacity problems.
General understanding of production processes and constraints is of high importance.
Must stay current on capacity and production line utilization.
Requires daily interaction and one on one meetings with Production Staff.
Coordinate daily maintenance of the current production schedule for assigned areas.
Maintain accurate supply planning schedules and review with Supply Chain Management.
Communicate as required daily production plans to all departments and keep staff informed of any material, equipment, or production issues.
Participate in and support plant management efforts for improvements to plant efficiency.
Maintain a thorough understanding of all products manufactured by the plant and production process.
Assist with reviewing items that need to be rescheduled, interact with Material Buyers on components due dates, and follow up on and take action to ensure they get back into schedule as soon as possible.
Release manufacturing orders and follow order progress to completion while tracking and recording reasons for misses to production schedule.
Maintain scheduling spreadsheets and production graphs to support monthly department Metrics as requested.
Maintain PC, label printer.Coordinate and participate with Cycle Counts for assigned work area.
Maintain and coordinate Service part orders.
Reconcile Cycle Count Activities and submit completed results for appropriate approvals.
Maintain a clean work area in accordance with 5S housekeeping procedures.Interact with Customer Service to provide production lead time for customer quotes.
Prepare Job Packets for production lines.
Other activities as assigned by Department Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Prefer 2 years of college or 3 years of equivalent planning or manufacturing experience
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
2 plus years general knowledge of manufacturingUnderstanding of engineered projects
Excellent communication skills
Competence in shop floor scheduling
Computer knowledge and PC familiarity Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word ) ERP Systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.The employee is frequently required to walk ( on occasions walk extensively. )The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee could work intermittently in a non-climate controlled environment. Hot in the summer and cold in the winter; continuous exposure to forklift traffic.
