Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Program Manager to lead the continuous improvements of planning and scheduling practices within our Project and Program Management team. This position should be located in the Central or Eastern time zone. In this role, you will lead the planning and scheduling of major and complex high-tech programs, liaising with senior internal/external stakeholders to ensure needs are met, and providing strong leadership and influence to our project teams. You are responsible for ensuring all work and outputs are executed to meet the requirements of relevant business strategies.

Role accountabilities:

  • Direct the integration of all functions of planning, scheduling, and program management, both internally and externally.
  • Direct quality requirements for planning and scheduling practices.
  • Direct management and control of program risk and communicate risk to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive the planning, setup, and management of contracting processes.
  • Drive performance by leading the definition and implementation of complex programs of work, managing multidisciplinary teams and working to program timescales of more than 1 year to ensure delivery standards meet client expectations.
  • Develop detailed program execution strategies to support the development of high-value programs, and play a lead role in the bid process by acting as an ambassador of Arcadis to contribute to successful outcomes.
  • Drive planning of information and communication processes.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a diverse program team of senior planners and junior and senior cost managers by recruiting, setting objectives and reviewing performance to ensure staff are driven and have the necessary skills to deliver the program objectives.
  • Establish and manage a third-party supplier and supply chain strategy for program delivery, including the provision of works information, specifications, incentives, and contractor performance monitoring.
  • Develop program risk policies and governance processes in line with Arcadis policies and codes of conduct to instill a culture of awareness and commitment to risk management.
  • Influence a range of senior stakeholders and manage critical relationships to ensure all parties are informed and aligned on how to deliver program objectives.
  • Promote the culture and brand of Arcadis externally.
  • Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies, both program-wide and in cross-organizational working, to ensure commercial viability and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and maintain an effective formal communications strategy with the program team, clients, senior management, and stakeholders to promote engagement and support around the program and its strategic objectives.
  • Lead strategic negotiations, including contract negotiations with customers, stakeholders, and major suppliers.
  • Direct, define and lead the development and continuous improvement of program-wide processes, systems, and policies, and contribute to wider organizational initiatives to improve performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8 or more years' relevant experience, with at least 5 years' as a lead or expert in planning, project control, or program management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading major programs with a diversity of deliverables across large client businesses.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders to lead and implement organizational change.

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start, and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $97600 - 168360 / year.
