General Employee Responsibility:
The general responsibility of all EPP Service Co. employees is to work and act in a manner which contributes to achievement of corporate, project, and individual goals. These goals are defined in the following categories:

General Duties and Responsibilities:
The Plant Operator will have responsibility for performing operation and maintenance activities at the EPP project(s) which have been assigned to him/her. Generally, the Plant Operator will ensure that the following four priorities are observed at each facility:
1. Safety: The Plant Operator will:
a. Work to maintain facility property and all equipment contained therein in a safe condition such that the risk of fire, accident or injury is minimized.
b. Ensure that any and all activities conducted onsite by company personnel, contractors, or visitors are in keeping with the EPP Safety Rules Book and OSHA regulations.
c. Participate in tailboard safety meetings prior to work being undertaken.
d. Follow all established safety policies and processes, including the use and documentation of tailboard meetings prior to commencement of onsite work.
e. Wear and/or utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate for the work being performed.
f. Conduct equipment, tooling, and safety equipment inspection as assigned. This may include, but is not limited to fire extinguishers, hoists, chains, ladders, hand and power tools, mobile equipment and vehicles, etc.
g. Report safety incidents – accidents, injuries, occupational illness, and near misses – through the proper channels as per the Health and Safety Manual.
h. Participate in periodic safety reviews in conjunction with Plant Manager, Operation and Maintenance Manager, Manager of Operations, Asset Manager, and other EPP management personnel.
i. Work to ensure that facility is maintained in a clean, orderly, and safe condition at all times.
2. Compliance: The Plant Operator will:
a. Work to ensure that the plant is maintained and operated in accordance with the limits and requirements of all relevant permits and authorities having jurisdiction.
b. Participate in monitoring and recordkeeping activities as assigned for the purpose of compliance.
c. Adhere to environmental policies and processes, in particular site Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure plans (SPCC).
d. Promptly report any incidents or conditions which may result in a potential non-compliance status of a plant or piece of equipment through the proper channels.
e. Participate in periodic compliance reviews of each project in conjunction with Operation and Maintenance Manager, Manager of Operations, Asset Management, and Environmental Management Personnel.
3. Performance: The Plant Operator will:
a. Ensure that the plant and all equipment contained therein is maintained in such a state that production is maximized, downtime is minimized, and production goals are consistently met or exceeded.
b. Alert Plant Manager regarding any operational issues which could result in potential significant deviation from performance targets.
4. Financial Performance: The Plant Operator will:
a. Ensure that the health of all on-site assets is maintained through the performance of regular scheduled preventive maintenance.
b. Ensure that all company resources utilized in the operation and maintenance of the assigned facility are used responsibly and economically.
c. Ensure to the best of his/her ability that equipment availability and production expectations are met, thereby ensuring maximum possible revenue.
d. Perform all work in a safe, professional, and efficient manner, making good use of time during each working shift.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
A. Plant Operations
1. Conduct activities related to the starting, stopping, and adjustment of operation of all plant equipment.
2. Participate in routine and major maintenance activities as assigned. Plant Operators may, from time to time be temporarily assigned to work at other EPP facilities to assist in routine and major maintenance work.
3. Operate all plant equipment in accordance with all relevant permits and EPP environmental policy. This requires an in-depth understanding of the permits, plans, and policies in effect at the assigned facility.
4. Conduct all work in a safe and efficient manner, observing all safety regulations and EPP safety policies and procedures.
5. Participate in and/or conduct on-site monitoring and recordkeeping activities in accordance with relevant permits and spill plans. This may include, but is not limited to, the keeping of records in electronic format and/or in a handwritten logbook.
6. Operate, adjust, and maintain equipment in order to maintain a status of compliance with relevant permits. This includes, but is not limited to, fuel consumption rates, temperature thresholds, pressure thresholds, energy output, emissions output, etc.
7. Recognize and promptly report to Plant Manager any and all deviations from normal operating status which may have the potential to be a non-compliance event.
8. Work cooperatively at all times with other Plant Operators and EPP management to ensure the safe, efficient operation of EPP facilities.
9. Respond to call-outs which may occur as the result of utility events, fuel supply interruption, or equipment malfunction, etc. Promptly take appropriate actions to adjust or restore operation as needed.
10. Work with Plant Manager to help manage onsite inventory to ensure that adequate materials, supplies, spare parts, tooling, etc. are either onsite or are promptly available.
11.Other activities and duties as directed by Plant Manager, Operation and Maintenance Manager, Manager of Operations or other EPP Renewable Energy Management.
B. Maintenance
1. Conduct regular preventative maintenance activities as assigned in accordance with manufacturer’s operation and maintenance guides and/or EPP procedures.
2. Obtain engine oil samples as directed from every operating engine per the defined schedule for the facility assigned. Ensure that samples are shipped for analysis on the same day that they are collected.
3. Maintain detailed and accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair, including date and time of work, engine hours at time of work, and a detailed description of work performed. Document the installation of new parts for potential future warranty claims in the event of premature failure.
4. Recognize, analyze and diagnose equipment issues in conjunction with vendor service providers and/or other EPP personnel.
5. Regularly participate in facility cleaning and housekeeping work, maintaining all aspects of the assigned facility in a safe and presentable condition. This includes the interior of the facility (engine room(s), switchgear room(s), office area, storage areas, and restrooms) and the exterior of the facility (yard areas, parking areas, etc.).

Physical Demands & Work Environment
1. Activities requiring handling and grasping with hands when performing repairs or maintenance of equipment by utilizing hand tools, power tools, air tools, nuts, bolts, electronic controls and other large and small parts and components.
2. Frequent lifting up to 50lbs., occasional lifting more than 50lbs and infrequently lifting up to 75lbs.
3. Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 4 hours per day.
4. Ability to bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time.
5. Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day.
6. Ability to climb a ladder several times per day at working heights above 10ft.
7. Exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
Experience:
Two years minimum experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of onsite electric power generation systems, large industrial engines, gaseous-fueled engines, or landfill gas engines and collection systems. Relevant trade or technical school education and/or relevant military service may be considered in lieu of experience.
