Platinum Technologies currently has an opportunity for a highly skilled Information Architect to support a federal customer in auditing and restructuring content for a large agency website. The specialist will be responsible for assisting the agency to understand and redefine how web-based information is categorized, structured, and presented to millions of annual visitors. They will conduct surveys and audits of existing website content, develop new content structures and strategies, and implement methodologies for stakeholder engagement. The role requires expertise in information architecture, content strategy, and project execution to ensure a seamless transition to a more meaningful and organized content structure.
This role is REMOTE. Candidate must reside in the United States. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
What you get to do.
•Conduct comprehensive surveys and audits of existing agency site content.
•Research and develop approaches to recategorize existing content into meaningful lanes.
•Create a transition plan for shifting from the current flat structure to the new structure.
•Identify and document requirements and the effort needed to execute the transition plan.
•Design and implement methodologies for stakeholder engagement to gather insights and define project requirements.
•Develop research reports, methodologies, and implementation plans to support project execution.
•Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of the new content structure with organizational objectives.
•Provide recommendations and best practices for information architecture and content strategy.
Required Skills.
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Architecture, Content Strategy, User Experience, or a related field.
•Minimum six (6)+ years of experience
•Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
•Proven experience in website content auditing, information architecture, and content categorization.
•Strong understanding of content management systems and digital content strategy.
•Experience with stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
•Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
•Ability to develop structured methodologies for large-scale content reorganization.
Preferred Skills.
•Knowledge of best practices for web accessibility and user experience.
•Familiarity with digital transformation and content migration strategies.
•Experience working with a government or public sector websites
•Experience using Acquia Site Studio to build new web pages and migrate existing Drupal webpages
