THE ROLE


PlayOn! Sports is looking for an experienced Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead our FP&A team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights, guiding financial planning and forecasting, and supporting key decision-making processes. This role is critical in driving the financial performance and strategic initiatives of the company.


Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for this role could include:


Leadership & Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the FP&A function.


Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives.

• Provide detailed variance analysis and performance metrics to senior management.


Strategic Partnering:

• Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

• Partner with department heads to develop financial strategies and operational plans.

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions.


Reporting & Communication:

• Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team, board of directors, and stakeholders.

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.


Process Improvement:

• Implement and optimize financial planning tools and systems.

• Streamline and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in FP&A.


THE PERSON


• 12 years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, or related roles.

• Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a corporate finance environment.

• Strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan).

• Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
