What you will be doing:
The PLC Controls Engineer will be responsible to help maintain and support the manufacturing line. This includes troubleshooting, modifying and building corresponding ladder logic within the PLC's. (Programmable Logic Controllers) Implementing electrical and pneumatic hardware and software to satisfy new requirements. Also supporting and maintaining an existing MES (Manufacturing Execution System) in a production environment.
- New Processes: Understand MIOSHA requirements and install a controls system to meet requirements.
Understand Electrical and Pneumatic schematics.
Create, review and modify ladder logic as required to meet new customer specifications.
Specification and purchase of electrical and pneumatic equipment.
Support MES connectivity to the PLC and SAP systems for data collection and reporting.
Existing Processes:
- Troubleshoot Controls issues on the manufacturing line.
- Troubleshoot MES software issues on the manufacturing line.
- Participate in a Cross Functional Team consisting of production, maintenance, manufacturing / quality engineering and logistics to implement continuous improvement activities on the manufacturing line.
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 3+ years experience with controls troubleshooting and maintenance of a PLC's.
- Exposure to MES technologies, including automated data collection, Quality, and O.E.E. measurements in the Manufacturing Line.
- Knowledge of common U.S. and International Electrical Code.
- Knowledge of hard and soft safety circuits.
- Ability to work with both Manufacturing and Test Systems.
- Knowledgeable with control cabinet set up and wiring.
- Knowledgeable with pneumatic hardware and circuits.
- Basic mechanical ability.

- Mitsubishi Controls
- Experience with battery systems

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
