We're hiring a Legal Counsel!About this positionThe Legal Counsel role assists in protecting Plexus’ legal interests and assists Government Affairs to foster relationships on behalf of Plexus.Who will love this job?• A people person, you are a customer-focused individual with an ability to understand others.• An advisor, you build rapport by offering strategic value in every interaction. You are trusted internally by cross-functional partners, as well as externally by our customers, for your strategic inputs.• An excellent communicator, you have a knack for explaining technical processes concisely (even to a non-technical audience), and enjoying working with cross-functional internal teamsWhat you'll do• You identify and analyze legal issues, draft key documents, present clear recommendations, and assure legal compliance.• You provide counsel on issues to various levels of the organization.• You collaborate with all internal departments to develop best possible processes and outcomes.• You draft legal documents such as contracts, statements, agreements, etc.• You execute procedures for protecting patents, trademarks and general intellectual property issues.• You prepare summary and analysis on new legislation, civil and criminal matters that would have an impact on the company’s business.• You support government relations strategy by identifying the key elected officials, regulators and decision makers to educate on issues important to the company.• You work directly with elected and appointed officials and their staff members to build and foster positive relationships on behalf of the company.• You foster relationships with trade organizations and create partnerships to advance industry goals.• You prepare talking points, fact sheets and other positional documents.• You work with Corporate Communications in drafting public statements, press releases, and op-eds for use with media.• You monitor bill drafts and committee hearings for potentially impactful legislation and provide Executives with timely updates.You should have• Juris Doctorate recipient of an accredited law school and have passed the BAR in a US State.• 5 years’ experience in corporate, business and/or advertising law with experience in FDA and FTC regulations.• You have experience working with international markets or global businesses.• Experience in Direct Sales industry is preferred.• You have the ability to anticipate obstacles, communicate effectively and plan accordingly.About PlexusPlexus Worldwide is a leading direct-sales company founded in Scottsdale, Arizona, where it remains a top employer and economic driver.
