DESCRIPTION

As the Manager of Learning & Development at Pontera, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our organization's knowledge and skills. In this role, you will be the foundational L&D team member responsible for identifying training needs, designing educational programs, and facilitating engaging learning experiences. You will partner closely with our teams and managers across the organization to ensure that all training and development initiatives align with our business goals and contribute to our culture of continuous learning and improvement. As Pontera scales our team significantly throughout 2024 and beyond, Learning & Development will be a key strategic function that boosts our employees’ professional development and drives our collective success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to assess learning requirements within each business area and develop effective strategies to enhance onboarding and employee development.   
  • Provide strategic oversight and input into the development and execution of learning initiatives, ensuring effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Create, develop, and maintain engaging training programs that meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
  • Implement scalable learning solutions, focusing on design, technology, and up-to-date best practices in learning & development.
  • Lead the facilitation of various professional development programs for managers and people leaders, enhancing overall leadership capabilities within the organization.
  • Deliver training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, such as group discussions, lectures, simulations, and workshops.
  • Continuously evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, surveys, and employee performance metrics, and make improvements as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring that content is up to date and accessible to employees.
  • Manage the learning and development budget, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Ensure that all training and development initiatives are in line with the company's culture and values.
  • Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, and results.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
  • Ability to assess the effectiveness of programs and make data-driven improvements.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
