Job Summary

The portfolio manager will work as part of the portfolio management team on model creation, maintenance, and execution. Building model portfolios to meet client goals and objectives, along with executing trades, and communicating with internal team members is an essential aspect of the work. The firm's investment platform has a broad use of various asset classes, multiple custodians, internal and external managers, and geographic reach to provide a range of unique portfolio structures to meet clients’ needs. The primary focus of the Portfolio Manager is to analyze, construct and monitor customized portfolio strategies, with a secondary function of communicating with advisors, and at times clients, on strategy and portfolio performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.

  • Work closely with the investment team to develop a deep understanding of investment strategies and a comprehensive knowledge of each strategies’ holdings, and risk profile.
  • Be able to articulate the process and approach for each strategy in communication both internally and externally.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing investment knowledge and collaborate on.
  • Partner with the sales team to take middle to advanced stage prospects to closure and produce targeted investment communications, white papers, insight pieces, commentaries, presentations, and other product content support for client service.
  • Maintain excellent communication with advisors and client service managers on client portfolio needs/requests.
  • Maintain documentation of analysis and strategy changes.
  • Utilize and maintain ongoing strategic vendor relationships.
  • Provide periotic strategy updates. Distilling key talking points for sales.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency with the trading and rebalancing systems and programs.
  • Assist with other projects as requested by management.
  • Be able to conduct research and security analysis independently, present ideas, and recommendations to the investment team for implementation.

Qualifications

  • A degree from college or technical school.
  • 7+ years of related experience.
  • Appropriate securities licenses/designation
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including trading systems.
  • Possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • CFA or Series 7, 65, & 66.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
