We are looking for two enthusiastic and bright post-docs to immediately join our lab at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, Oklahoma, USA. Our research focuses on cancer and RNA biology. An ideal candidate will possess a background in cancer biology, be proactive, organized, thoughtful, and willing to contribute to a multifaceted research laboratory. He/she will carry out in vitro and in vivo experiments.
· Successful candidates must have completed recently (or soon receive) a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D/Ph.D. degree in the field of a relevant biological subject, have appropriate publication records, and have a strong drive for research work.
· Significant research laboratory experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques is essential. Experience with cellular and molecular biology techniques such as cloning, cell culture, transfections, Western blotting, RNA analysis, immunochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy would be highly valued.
· Working knowledge of animal models (mouse) is preferred.
· Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and work with a wide variety of faculty and researchers.
· Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
. It is desirable to have some knowledge of bioinformatics and biostatistics.
