We want to hire entry-level structural engineers so our experienced structural engineers in Idaho, New Jersey, and Kansas can mentor and develop leaders from within our organization.There are great opportunities to gain experience and work closely with your supervisor and Division Leaders. You’ll develop close relationships with coworkers not only within our Division but on the Power Generation projects and also on the Power Delivery Division (Substation & Overhead Line Projects) and Facilities Division (Food and Beverage) Projects. And we offer flex hours to make sure we all have a better work/life balance.Help us assist multiple types of clients (IPP, Municipal Electric Utilities, Investor Owned Utilities) address their challenges.Job Summary Of Roles And Responsibilities• Design light foundations and structures for solar farms, battery energy storage facilities, and wind projects• Design heavy foundations and structures for natural gas-fired power generation projects: turbines, transformers, pipe racks, gas compressors, metal building systems, and masonry walls and buildings• Entry-level structural engineer with experience in structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry analysis and design engineering• Basic knowledge of building codes and material specifications• Familiarity with structural analysis and design software• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, individually, and as part of a project team• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interface with permitting agencies and contractorsRequired Education/Experience• College graduate with 3 years of structural engineering experience• BS Degree in Civil Engineering• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Micro-stationDesired Education/Experience• MS Degree in Structural Engineering would be a plus• EIT obtained would be a plus• Knowledge and/or ability to learn 3D modeling software• Familiarity with power generation, transmission, and distribution projects would be a plus• Civil-Site design would be a plus• Exposure to Geotechnical engineering experience would be a plus• Exposure to Pre-Engineered Metal Building Systems• Exposure to Seismic analysis and design• Exposure to Dynamic foundation analysisAt POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
