Location: Munich

Department: Responsible for the Tech & Infrastructure

Reports to: CEO

Headcount: Company wide: 10 FTE, Tech Department: 2 Sr. Engineers

Your Mission:

Our customer is a B2B SaaS company that protects any product on the internet (Remove.tech).

Remove.tech grew from 0 to 800k in ARR within 1,5 years and is a bootstrapped remote company founded in Vienna, Austria.

The founders are looking for a founding engineer / CTO who is proactively driving the Technology side of the company in order to scale to 10 Mio ARR within the next 5 years, bootstrapped.

Your first half-year might look like this: 

After 1 month you’ll

  • Finished the company onboarding

  • Have met your entire team and understood the product and how our customers are using it

  • Spent time shadowing your team, the founders and talked to customers directly

  • understand the company strategy, mission, value proposition and 2025 targets

After 3 months you’ll

  • Have identified low-hanging fruits based on your discovery and previous experience and implement short-term wins

  • Have built a foundation of trust with your peers and team to be able to take ownership of decisions 

  • Having a rough plan on the tech strategy to deliver 10x growth in 5 years based on the time you spend with customers, your team and the founders

  • Spent time with customers, bi-weekly

  • Understood the tech infrastructure and code

  • Ship code weekly

After 6 months you’ll

  • Have a clear tech strategy in mind to achieve 10x growth in 5 years 

  • Proactively shape the company's direction, goals and objectives on the tech side

  • Have re-structured the code base and took full ownership of all tech-contributing activities

  • Spend time with customers, bi-weekly


Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technology strategies to grow from EUR 1 to 10M in ARR within 5 years.

  • Lead and coordinate all technical functions striving for customer centricity and profitable growth and build a team of strong independent senior engineers or juniors with high potential.

  • Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met and meet with customers bi-weekly

  • Build a standarized and high quality code base to ensure a high valuation of the company through a scalabale tech stack, code base and team. We could be acquired and you would benefit from the share value.

  • Contribute to hiring by clearly articulating expectations of how top candidates look like and help to evaluate and close them

Your profile

  • Proven experience in building outstanding products, ideally in a B2B SaaS start-up.

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience; min. 5 years in coding 

  • Hands-on attitude with a desire to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities; 

  • Proven experience in customer centric and agile environments

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Desire to work in fast-paced scale-up and passion to work with digital products and services

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable technical strategies and operational plans.

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve technical goals.

  • Experience in developing and implementing devops processes.
