Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Systems Engineer IV to support DARPA's Adaptive Capabilities Office (ACO). The ACO collaborates with military services to develop innovative solutions addressing critical national security challenges. This role involves defining and vetting architectural solutions that integrate emerging technologies with new warfighting constructs through modeling, simulation, and experimentation, ultimately enabling joint, highly integrated capability sets.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI 
  • BS or MS in Engineering
  • Ten (10) years with Master’s or 14 years with Bachelor’s degree of IT professional experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance
  • Experience integrating various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance support. 
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations/briefing and have experience being the task lead/manager
  • At least seven (7) of the years of IT professional experience, the individual supported research and development (R&D) Department of Defense (DoD) programs. 
  • Demonstrated skill in conceiving, planning and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability of make decisions independently on research and development (R&D) engineering problems and methods, and of resolve important questions and of plan and coordinate work.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices for each lead of the four functional areas (Intelligence and Mission Capabilities, Architecture, Applications, and Mission Integration)
  • Published articles in Field of Expertise are desired. At least three (3) years of experience working in DARPA or similar organization is highly desirable.
