Are you ready to go beyond?What You Will DoPratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic and multi-disciplinary engineering organization focused on the development, integration, certification and support of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems and related sub-systems. The CDS organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Engineer II to join our world-class organization. The CDS organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Engineer II to join our world-class organization.• Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions to control dynamic mechanical, power, and electric systems.• Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into software or systems requirements and designs.• Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs.• Perform software verification including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results.• Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and have availability to travel up to 10% domestically.• English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak EnglishMust be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenshipQualifications You Must Have• Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of engineering experience or software experience or an advanced degree in STEM with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.• 6 months of programming experience with Java, C/C++, R, Python, Linux or DOORS.• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering• Experience with gas turbine jet engine operation and sub-systems.• Experience with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures and control logic design.• Secret ClearanceWhat We Offer:• Employee Scholar ProgramLearn More & Apply Now!• CDS develops complex, cyber-resilient control systems and software for commercial and military engines including power and thermal management Systems and auxiliary power units.
