Intro and job overview: The Scrum Master will implement agile best practices to improve delivery, efficiency, and visibility through a supportive and adaptable approach for our global delivery teams. This role reports into the Agile Coach and will work closely with other Scrum Masters, Program Managers, Product Managers and Development leads. This is fixed term employment for 1 year, we are looking for a Scrum Master to provide maternity leave coverage for one of our Scrum Masters. The position will promote and support agile processes for our SaaS product solutions.  

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Apply Agile values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver features in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) SaaS environment.
  • Train, mentor, and support teams on Agile practices.
  • Schedule and facilitate Scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes as a Scrum Master.
  • Use Agile metrics and reporting to monitor progress, performance and optimize velocity.
  • Ensure the proper use of collaborative tools and processes.
  • Remove impediments and manage dependencies.
  • Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a relevant field preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master with 3-5 years of experience leading large, complex projects.
  • Demonstrated success working with teams through Agile transformations or implementing Agile practices at scale.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills with individuals and teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
