About the Role
We’re looking for an Events Manager to bring our North American trade show strategy to life. In this role, you’ll plan, manage, and execute events that align with PrePass business objectives and demand generation goals, helping to expand our brand visibility and impact across the industry. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days of work at our Downtown Phoenix office.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and drive our trade show strategy: Lead the planning and implementation of our trade show strategy, selecting industry events that align with our goals and drive meaningful engagement.
- Collaborate across teams: Partner with sales, product marketing, creative, and partner teams to set clear event goals, messaging, and deliverables, ensuring alignment and maximum impact across each occasion.
- Create comprehensive event campaigns: Work closely with the growth team to plan and automate social, digital, and online engagement before, during, and after each event, keeping our audience engaged and informed at every stage.
- Oversee all event logistics: Manage everything from booth selection and setup to vendor relationships, contracts, and team scheduling. Your eye for detail will ensure every event runs smoothly, from planning to execution.
- Craft memorable experiences: Create engaging on-site experiences, such as meetings, customer interviews, and unique engagement opportunities that make a lasting impression.
- Follow-up and measure success: Coordinate post-event follow-up with the sales and marketing teams and measure each event’s results to guide future participation and highlight areas for improvement.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (4+ additional years in the field)
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on marketing experience, with a focus on planning and managing large, multi-faceted trade shows. B2B industry event experience is a major plus.
- Organizational skills: Strong event management and project management skills, with experience juggling multiple events and deadlines.
- Exceptional collaborative abilities: Natural talent for navigating fluid environments and embracing change.
- Champion innovation and best practices: A commitment to staying on top of emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in process development.
- Budgeting and metrics experience: Proficiency in budget management, performance forecasting, and using metrics to assess the impact of marketing programs.
- Technical proficiency: Comfortable using marketing and sales CRMs to build landing pages, automate campaigns, and communicate with attendees.
- Vendor management: Skilled at negotiating with external suppliers, agencies, and venues to handle all aspects of event services, from space allocation and signage to security, catering, and giveaways.
- Flexibility for travel: Able to travel frequently (including some weekends and holidays) to support events, scout locations, and oversee vendor performance on-site.
