Shift Schedule:
Scheduled to work 12 hour shifts from 7am - 7pm every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday, which is a 2 week pattern of 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off. Only scheduled to work 15 days every month, but with built-in overtime pay!
Starting Pay: $22.05
Position Summary:
Assist press operator to set up and operate the printing press and related equipment to meet all safety, quality and production standards.
Position Responsibilities:

Act as a role model for safety and encourage fellow employees to work in a safe manner. Must audit for safety compliance.

Act as a mentor to upskill and train new and developing employees.

Lift 55 pounds every 5 to 10 minutes depending on the line speed of the press. Removing completed rolls from rewind as needed.

Apply up to 90 pounds of push/pull force to push paper roll carts into loading position at press.

Maintain press and all related equipment in a clean and orderly condition as required to meet quality, 5S, production standards and shift-end expectations. Assist operator in PM’s of equipment.

Maintain press and all related equipment in a clean and orderly condition as required meeting SQF and MSS standards.

Visually inspect production (web, printed roll stock, roll formation) at rewind station while press is operating to assure quality standards for color, registration, patches, print and moisture levels are being maintained.

Operate press, if assigned to do so, including maintaining ink color, ink and glue viscosity and levels.

Conduct root cause analysis to aid Press operator in resolving problems.

Enter information into SAP computer system.

Check written descriptions of paper rolls and other raw materials to ensure correct material supply at the unwind stands and prepare for splicing.

Maintain written production and inventory usage records.

Must be willing and able to work in a culture built around continuous improvement and change.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common internal reports and supporting documents

Able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.

Able to apply up to 90 pounds of push force.

Able to climb ladders, reach, and stand frequently

Unrestricted color perception
-
2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
- Reports to Line Lead and/or will receive work direction from Team Production Lead and Plant Manager.
