Our incredible client is looking for a Sr. Firmware Engineer to join their team! Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Sr. Firmware Engineer will join the team in Ashburn, VA.As the Firmware Engineer / Developer you will be entrusted to analyze requirements, design and integrate functionalities into our platform. You will work hand in hand with the R&D team in Germany but also expected to function independently.Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 + DOELocation: Ashburn, VA (hybrid flexible)Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 5:00PMSr. Firmware Engineer Responsibilities:• Developing firmware and new products and features• Implementing and understanding customer requirements and developing functions together with product management• Deriving, specifying, and implementing technical solutions from customer wishes, use cases, and user stories• Reviewing programming code for compliance with development guidelines• Continuing personal education and sharing important insights• Leading employees, conducting personnel interviews, and ensuring the continued education of each employee• Preparing statistics and evaluations• Implementing and communicating technical guidelines, guiding ideas, and principles (do's and don'ts of programming)• Designing the work environment and team collaboration• Supporting the alignment of firmware platforms and checking legal frameworks for firmware products• Demonstrating a harmonious, future-oriented, and safe work environment• Representing the interests of the teams externally and within the company• Leading the teams, planning organizational factors (working hours), and finding solutions in collaboration with team membersSr. Firmware Engineer Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification in related field.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Firmware Development• Experience in application development quality metrics and automated testing in a technical or industrial environment.• Proficiency in developing and implementing automated testing scripts and policies.• In-depth expertise in the programming languages C and C++• Knowledge of microcontrollers, experience with version control tools, and proficient in using Linux as a development and target platform• Strong leadership capabilities with experience in leading and mentoring teams.Benefits :• Health, Vision, Dental – Client covers 80% of employee premium• 401K with match• PTO• All Federal HolidaysCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $100,000.00 - $150,000.00
