As a Principal Payroll Admin at CONMED, you will be a member of the HR team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of CONMED's payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily data entry payroll processing. Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform daily payroll department operations
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
Execute Kronos time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
Process manual checks when needed
Research and respond to all payroll phone and email inquiries within 24 hours
Perform other related duties as required by management
Responsible for communicating updates and enhancements to Payroll Manager and maintaining a “no surprises” environment
Identify and implement process improvements
Required Qualifications:
7+ years’ relevant experience, processing payroll preferred
Candidate must reside in Eastern Standard Time Zone
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Working knowledge of payroll best practices, multi state experience a plus
Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
Kronos and ADP experience a plus
High degree of professionalism
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
Ability to communicate with various levels of management
Decision making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Disclosure as required by applicable law, the hourly pay rate range for this position is $20.00 to $35.00. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The hourly pay rate range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
