Principal Software Architect, FactSet Research Systems Inc., New York, NY: Manages a team of software engineers and/or projects within Engineering. Duties include: Review product requirement documents, write technical design documents, implements and tracks development timelines, and negotiates feature sets with development leads and product teams. Provides guidance and direction to team on software design and implementation. Reviews code changes and submissions. Reacts to Market influences by reprioritizing projects on an as-needed basis. Ensures that all related systems are operating reliably and efficiently. Stays current with the security and IAM domains, and identify when to adopt technologies and best practices, identify the most important strategic projects and keep the team focused on them, own the product vision and manage the roadmap, collaborate with stakeholders to align objectives and timelines, work with AWS and on-premise systems to deploy Cloud services.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree, or higher, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field and at least 5 years of software engineering experience with the following; Java, Python, developing and supporting backend systems, Linux, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, PingFederate and general ID federation, in-depth understanding of security and risk related to auth, role-based access control systems in large distributed environment, AWS IAM, LDAP Server Management, RESTful API Design, Cookies, CORS, Relational Databases. Must have full software engineering life cycle experience.
Basic pay range is Two hundred twenty thousand dollars to two hundred fifty thousand dollars per year for full –time employment (Mon. – Fri. 9-5).
