FactSet's Corporate Development team is a high-impact group responsible for the evaluation, execution and integration of M&A transactions, strategic investments and other inorganic opportunities aligned with the company's growth priorities. The team is highly visible across the organization and works closely with FactSet's senior leadership, including regular interaction with the company's CEO, CFO and EVPs. The team is looking for a highly motivated M&A professional to play an integral role in the company's end-to-end acquisition and strategic investment activities. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the SVP, Head of Corporate Development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct research, synthesize findings, and propose recommendations to shape FactSet's inorganic strategy and roadmap Partner with business unit and functional leaders to define FactSet's M&A priorities across its Strategic Business Units (SBUs) Develop perspectives on the relative strengths, weaknesses, and... implications of potential M&A opportunities; formulate build/buy/partner/invest analyses and target selection criteria; and define the acquisition hypothesis and business case to ultimately drive strategic decisions Support all aspects of the deal process, including identification evaluation, structuring, and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments and other related transactions Cultivate cross-functional relationships, build consensus among key stakeholders and work collaboratively to influence decision-making within executive-level audiences Facilitate the strategic evaluation, financial analysis, and due diligence of potential opportunities Develop and maintain valuation models and transactional, diligence and integration playbooks Assist in post-acquisition program management by ensuring cross-functional teams are executing on their respective M&A integration plans at the business unit and corporate level Contribute to building the Corporate Development team by continuously enhancing existing processes and recruiting and developing new team members Support non-deal related strategic initiatives and assist with ad-hoc analyses and special projects, as required QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS Bachelors' Degree with 3-6 years of experience in Investment Banking, Consulting, Private Equity, Strategy or Corporate Development roles Prior transaction experience in a deal environment required, particularly buy-side M&A Familiarity with Technology or Information Services industry is preferred but not required Experience with managing cross-functional teams and navigating complex situations with internal and external stakeholders Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes Fluency with financial modelling and performing all aspects of financial and valuation analyses required to support M&A Ability to handle multiple priorities and adaptive to frequent changes in priorities, organization and strategy; flexible to deadlines with short lead times Demonstrated maturity and judgement, action oriented and anticipates needs, is assertive in keeping her/him-self and teammates accountable Team player, superb work ethic and strong integrity - enthusiastic, self-starter and proactive
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
