Principal Software Engineer - DevOps

Job Description

Collaborate with and across Agile teams to gather requirements, design, develop, implement, test, and maintain technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
Design, implement, document, and support CI/CD process automations for multiple A10 products
Perform code and design reviews
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the DevOps and development environments
Provide support and enhance Engineering productivity as needed
Document procedures, processes to enable knowledge proliferation
Provide technical trainings and mentor others

Qualifications

7+ years of direct experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, Tooling, Build, and/or Release.
High proficiency to read, write, and debug automation scripts using one or more programming languages such as Python, Linux shell, Groovy, Perl, TCL or other relevant programming language.
Extensive experience with CI/CD pipeline automation, branching strategies, software build systems, release processes, and engineering tools for software and SaaS products. Familiar with build processes such as Maven, npm, Make, Gradle, etc.
Experience Maintaining GitLab, GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Artifactory, SVN, Bugzilla and integration of tools for project management, defect tracking, static analysis, security vulnerability scanning, OSS licensing, etc.
Experience with Linux OS administration, NFS, NIS, iSCSI, package management, and shell scripting
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi, KVM, or container management such as Docker
Experience using Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or other orchestration tools

Education

BS Computer Science or Engineering + 12 years of experience
MS Computer Science or Engineering + 10 years of experience

Compensation: Up to 220K
