Principal UX Designer

Lightship is seeking a Principal User Experience Designer. This position is remote, and a successful candidate will possess a willingness and desire to work independently without significant oversight. Additionally, this position may require moderate travel.

The Principal UX Designer will:

• Define and develop and Lightship's design process, methodologies, and culture
• Lead cross-functional teams through the full research and design process to ensure that every user touchpoint is magical
• Design and prototype ideas with internal stakeholders, customers, and end-users, and iterate quickly and drive consensus

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align best option forward, and ensure end-product is pixel perfect
• Work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure alignment on branding and consistent design across all Lightship's assets

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in agile SaaS development environment
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with R&D teams

• Full range of design activities from ideation to final visual design
• Experience designing mobile applications

Preferred qualifications:

• Healthcare experience

• Startup experience
• Tech-enabled services experience
