Department Summary
Print Services provides and procures digital and offset printing and bindery services to the university community, and also oversees the print services portion of the Tech Support and Print Services unity within the EMU. Print Services also manages the university-wide fleet copier and printer programs. We aim to provide high-quality products quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. Print Services is an auxiliary unit within the Campus Services group in the Finance and Administration portfolio. Print Services covers its own expenses and operations through sales and services.

Position Summary
As part of the Printing Services management team, this position is responsible for managing the customer service and operational aspects of the department. The Printing Services Assistant Manager will provide professional department representation and provide customer service to the campus community. This position is responsible for managing and supervising 2 full time employees, including all aspects of training, mentoring, and progressive discipline. The Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring operational department tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. The incumbent is expected to perform any functions of their direct reports as necessary. The Assistant Manager will proactively cultivate customer relationships and communicate the department capabilities to the campus community through marketing and frequent customer outreach. The Assistant Manager may be called upon to act on behalf of the Printing Services Manager in their absence and/or as delegated.
Interactions/contacts occur daily with the campus community in the course of performing work and responding to emergencies.
This position works as part of a team while frequently performing tasks independently. Incumbent will work closely with the Printing Services Manager to develop program goals and make recommendations to maintain and improve department efficiency. They may also include setting priorities, assessing customer needs and responding to those needs
The Printing Services Assistant Manager will supervise 2 full-time employees.
Work is reviewed regularly by the Printing Services Manager to ensure it is performed efficiently, safely, and meets both expectations and applicable requirements. A performance appraisal is conducted annually.

DRIVING REQUIREMENT:
It is an essential requirement of this position to qualify for and maintain UO driver's certification eligibility, which includes maintaining an Oregon driver’s license throughout employment in this position.
