About the Role:
The Sound Privileging Coordinator (PCD) assists all provider types, with the exception of 3 Party practitioners, with any and all hospital privileging requirements for a specific assignment. The PCD partners directly with the Sound Privileging Consultant to ensure each provider completes the required privileging application and provides the appropriate supporting documentation as outlined by the hospital’s privileging standards and bylaws. The PCD serves as the providers’ main point of contact for all privileging requirements related to a specific assignment.
The PCD is responsible for effectively communicating privileging updates to the provider, the Sound Privileging Consultant, and the Recruiter via both emails and phone calls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Successfully manage and execute all privileging tasks related to the hospital privileging process for each physician based off of the requirements set forth by the Sound Privileging Consultant.
- Pre-fill all privileging application forms before sending to the provider.
- Request and facilitate the return of a complete and accurate privileging application, to include all required supporting documentation.
- Ensure that all Sound documents are received and complete (Demographics/ECHO Application, Authorization and Release of Information Form, Attestation Form, and Current CV).
- Ensure that a current copy of the NPDB has been received
- Review online verifications for any and all licenses, past and present (state medical license, DEA, and CSR if applicable), NPI, Board Certification, SAM and OIG.
- Escalate any “red flags” to Risk Management and the Sound Privileging Consultant.
- Complete reappointment files as directed by the Sound Privileging Consultant.
- Enter and maintain current privileging information in Salesforce.
- Effectively communicate all privileging updates to the Sound Privileging Consultant.
- Create and maintain strong internal relationships with Recruiting and Sound Privileging Consultant.

Education and Experience:
Education:
- Minimum: High School education or equivalent
- Preferred: College degree from an accredited institution or a combination of experience and NAMSS CPCS Certification
Experience:
- Minimum: Prior experience in the health services industry or prior experience in a similar administrative role
- Preferred: 1-2 years provider Privileging in a hospital Medical Staff Services Office, IPA/Medical Group or physician group practice

Starting Pay range: $23.07/hour - $24.04/hour
