Commercial Development Director - APAC

The Opportunity That Awaits You:    

 

Reporting to the VP & GM, International with dotted line to EVP, Technology and Clinical Development, the Commercial Development Director - APAC  is responsible for the development of all sales activities in the assigned region while achieving profitability and growth targets in line with PROCEPT’s vision and values.  The Commercial Development Director - APAC is responsible for training, developing the distributors and direct sales Channels. 


What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:
  • Formulate and execute a high-impact sales strategy for increased placements of the AQUABEAM Robotic System, collaborating with senior leadership and providing strategic content for sales meetings.  
  • Establish metrics for monitoring and enhancing sales performance, emphasizing sustainable growth through targeted resource deployment. 
  • Support Direct and distributor Teams to launch new accounts and expand existing programmes for sustainable growth. 
  • Drive field activities to expand placements, manage resources effectively, and cultivate key relationships within facilities to establish strong corporate partnerships. 
  • Lead achievement of sales goals by providing clinical expertise, contributing to the enhancement of PROCEPT BioRobotics' marketplace reputation. 
  • Provide regular updates on competition, product use, clinical updates, and key business metrics to the organisation. 
  • Conduct frequent field visits to support sales execution, facilitate team professional development, and deliver compelling executive presentations to drive adoption and expand utilization in countries. 
  • Uphold performance management disciplines, fostering a high-performance sales culture through regular calls, team meetings, and comprehensive reviews.  
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of programs and training events, incorporating best practices in sales process, selling skills, and business acumen. 
  • Manage P&L and continued organizational development. 
  • Work with International Marketing on strategic planning and annual operating plan. 
  • Assist as requested recruitment of approved positions and lead new hire onboarding for managed team. 
  • Support key business projects enhancing capital sales process and pipeline management. 
  • Cultivate positive relationships throughout PROCEPT BioRobotics, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration with key stakeholders. 
  • Maintains trained status for, and complies with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure regulatory compliance. 
  • Understands and adheres to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS Policies.


The Qualifications We Need You to Possess
  • Bachelor’s degree – four-year degree from accredited reputable institution  
  • Start-up company experience selling game changing technology.  
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience with sales management, and/or training or marketing organization is required. 
  • High level of technical/clinical product knowledge 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks. 
  • Must have proven track record of participation leading/teaching at organizational meetings. Prior people management experience is not required, but extensive mentoring by experienced manager would be recommended if not. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a cross functional team member is required. 
  • Excellent presentation (platform) skills are required. 
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter and goal oriented is required. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required. 
  • Must thrive in complex environment and be able to multi-task and prioritize. 
  • Strong local relationships within the healthcare community in specified geographic area.  
  • Leadership skills as demonstrated through past professional performance in the medical device arena, and involvement in sports, professional clubs or associations. 
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Level of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other internal groups, clients, customers, and the public. 
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
