The team

Finance ensures that Route grows in a sustainable, efficient, and intelligent way, over the short and long-term. This small but mighty team of financial analysts, accountants and other specialists act as trusted partners to the entire 400+ person-company, supporting departments in annual budget management, creating regular reports for the board and leadership, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices. They bring the expertise needed to constantly deliver smooth financial operations for Route.

The opportunity

This opportunity is unique in that the person will be working in the Finance org and will be used to help function of the accounting function. The person will learn a lot as they work closely with the accounting and finance functions. We would expect the person to be a self-starter, well organized, and adept at working with other functions within the company.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and develop sourcing strategies that align with the company's goals
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct market research, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions for contracts and agreements
• Review and analyze supplier proposals, bids, and quotations to determine the best value and compliance with quality and performance standards
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier performance evaluations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while continually seeking new partnerships to expand the company's supplier base
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to leverage opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and ethical practices in all procurement activities
• Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payment processing and resolve any billing or invoicing issues

What we're looking for

• 2-3+ years as procurement specialist basic accounting knowledge
• Knowledge of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, and vendor management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and suppliers
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously
• Ability to work procuring merchant rates, software services, and ERP system rates
• Highly organized individual who can efficiently manage tasks, maintain meticulous attention to detail, and streamline processes to ensure optimal productivity in our dynamic work environment
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or similar field

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with legal contracts and terms
• Experience with Stripe
• Experience with Netsuite
• Experience with Tableau

Pay Transparency

Salary for this role:

Utah

$84,000 - $87,400 base + bonus & Equity

The cash compensation above includes base salary, and is not reflective of potential commission for employees in eligible roles, or annual bonus targets under Route's bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all Route employees are eligible to participate in Routes equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their career level, skills, experience, specific geographic location qualifications and other job-related reasons.
