Procurement Specialist

The procurement specialist will be responsible for operational duties related to purchasing orders and handling vendor communications.

Essential Duties

• Places purchase orders for all chemical and packaging-related products
• Responsible for communication with vendors from placement of PO to the final invoicing process
• Tracks ETAs for inbound POs and updates the system, if necessary, when arrival dates change
• Populates and updates the inbound receiving schedule to provide the operations team with up-to-date information
• Leads the new vendor setup process in coordination with accounting
• Leads the operational import process in terms of coordinating imports with our designated broker and moving shipments from ports to their end destination
• Coordinate with the logistics department on inbound freight needs
• Internal communication with operations and planning team
