Product Designer

JOB SUMMARY
The Experience Designer, has 3-5 years of experience as a practitioner of user-centric product design. They work with a team of Product Designers creating digital products such as web sites, mobile sites, native apps, experiential UX/UI, and voice apps.

They know how to work with all aspects of the Experience Design digital workflow, including interaction design, visual design, motion design, wireframing, and prototyping.

They work closely with Creative, Strategy, Production, Technology, et al; so that the end digital product truly exceeds both the users’ needs and the requirements of the business.

They will be able to design flawless design systems and pattern libraries based on everything we know about the end user of their product.

They will understand the importance of pixel accuracy and working within the parameters of any given framework.

They will be evangelists for human interface guidelines, as well as accessibility and utilizing technology to better the overall user experience.

They ensure flawless execution of digital properties that are not only engaging and compelling, but also useful and usable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Create custom solutions for client, customer, and product needs
Development of sitemaps, wireframes, and functional specifications.
Lead the process of the brand identity development
Provide production ready files and specs for various branding assets including brandmarks, iconography, secondary graphics, color (with breakdowns in CMYK, RGB, GS, HEX and PMS), typography, layouts, data visualization charts, etc.
Execute the design of brand identity assets
Communicating the value of UX methodologies to key stakeholders
Developing, implementing, documenting workflows and processes
Ability to present information in a variety of different formats to all levels of the organization, including senior executives
Testing & Troubleshooting
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with XD teams through the entire product lifecycle.
  • Support and evangelize the full digital workflow as it pertains to user-centric design.
  • Manage rapid prototyping and user testing process with regards to ongoing sprints.
  • Participate with Creative, Strategy, Technology and other departments on RFIs, RFPs, pitches and client presentations.
  • Expert with Sketch, Principle, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar. Prototyping tools such as Invision, and/or Usability Hub.
  • Expert in responsive grid systems and frameworks as well as vector graphics and optimization.
  • Working knowledge of front-end code, HTML, CSS.

Bachelors Digital Design or related field

EXPERIENCE
3 years of experience as a practitioner of user-centric product design

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Sketch, Principle, Invision, Zeplin, OmniGraffle, other interaction/visual/motion design tools.
Strong knowledge in Adobe Acrobat
Color Correction
Color Sense & Motion
Color Theory
Expert Knowledge Color theory and proofing profiles.
Color theory, all related software programs and manufacturing processes.
Compositing
Familiar with tablet devices (Android, iPad) and smartphones. Veva.
Must be competent with all major Internet browsers
Creative storytelling

Type Design
Strong skills in typography, graphic design, and layout
Solid knowledge of Omnigraffle, InVision, and Axure
Demonstrates basic programming proficiency in HTML and CSS languages.

SALARY

$85,000 to $97,800 annually

The salary range for this position is noted within this job posting.
