What will you be doing?
As a Product Designer at Blink, you'll take ownership of large areas of the Blink product. Working on new products, features, and innovative solutions from early research and conceptualisation through to launch and iteration.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design engaging, simple, easy-to-use flows and experiences to delight our users.
- Work with small multi-disciplinary squads made up of representatives from engineering, product, QA, customer success among others.
- Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, identifying early in the process when a change in direction is required.
- You'll spend time with our users. joining calls with buyers, as well as face-to-face meetings with the frontline. You'll develop deep empathy with our users and from these experiences, you'll translate both qualitative insights and quantitative data into creative ideas and informed design decisions.
- Cultivate a creative design process that is built on inclusion and strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Provide and seek feedback from other creatives to continually raise the bar for quality.
- You’ll take full ownership of your work and total responsibility for every last detail, every step of the way, from whiteboard sketching to high-fidelity final treatments.
About you
We're looking for someone who is ambitious and wants to develop in a fast-growing company. The successful candidate will be resourceful, inquisitive, a fast learner, with an ability to easily connect with a customer. You’ll be able to pick up new concepts quickly and empathise with customer pain points. We’re also looking for:
- Experience designing and shipping complex products founded in data and customer insights.
- Ability to form clear hypotheses around design decisions and lay out a path to validate them.
- Industry experience designing at every step of the development process, from breadboarding and flow charts to high fidelity designs ready for dev handover.
- You always aim for consistency over confusion. Strong UI design sense; you know when to develop a style and how to effectively roll out changes.
- Experience balancing long-term design goals with an Agile-based iterative approach
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for collaborating across the entire company
- Contribute to and develop our design system
- Proven focus on UX design.
- Confident with your process and decision making to present your ideas with the aim to convince others of your reasoning.
- You have a people-focused design mentality and want to design and build products/features that truly have a meaningful impact.
- A link to an online portfolio or PDF that you can share with us is required. Applications without a portfolio are unlikely to be considered.
- You are able to provide a brief explanation in your application of why you are a fit for our team.
