We are seeking an exceptional Product Director, Sports (title to vary with seniority) to lead a team focused on The Arena Group’s Sports vertical, anchored around the iconic Sports Illustrated brand, but also including TheSpun, FanNation, Athlon Sports, and the rest of the Sports Illustrated Media Group. You will work closely across stakeholders including Executives, Engineering and Editorial teams, leading projects from ideation to completion with a focus on both free & premium products for sports fans. You will leverage the scale and resources of a successful, well-known business combined with the nimbleness and forward-looking feel of a startup.
Ideal candidates possess big-picture vision yet the drive and attention to detail to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time with customers and evangelizing their needs. You have a proven track record for driving audience and revenue growth. You have developed and managed products and services with a user experience for sports fans. You are a self-starter, balancing strategic thinking with outstanding execution – holding yourself and your team accountable to delivering successful outcomes. You enjoy solving complex business problems at the core of the digital transformation of a world-leading media company. You are creative and capable of formulating bold product strategies.
The Arena Group’s expected annualized base salary range for this position is currently $150,000-$200,000. Actual salaries will vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, education, experience, and other factors permitted by law. The listed salary range is but one component of The Arena Group’s total compensation and benefits available to its employees.
